Here's what you'd do:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Utility Billing Specialist to join our team.
  • This role involves frequent communication with utility vendors to negotiate fee waivers and resolve billing issues.
  • Contact utility providers via phone, email, and fax to negotiate fee waivers and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure when dealing with challenging vendor interactions.
  • Accurately manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and participate in team chats for support and guidance.
  • Complete UBK (Utility Bill Knowledge) training and initial team onboarding.
  • We are seeking detail-oriented candidates to join our Document Management team, responsible for retrieving missing invoice data from utility providers across.
  • This role involves extensive phone communication and needs a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Contact utility providers via phone (up to 8 hours/day), email, or fax to obtain invoice data.
  • Negotiate fee waivers or due date extensions when necessary.
  • Evaluate and prioritize invoices based on key data points.
  • Accurately update internal systems with relevant information.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed performance targets and KPIs.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 / hr. (maximum rate: $17/hour)

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (1st shift).

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of phone-based or data entry experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate good communication skills, time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional phone presence.
  • Good time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Comfortable working independently with access to team support.
  • Willingness to attend one in-office day per month (date pre-selected).
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and respectfully.
  • Proficient in navigating websites and internal systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook proficiency).
  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM.
  • Advanced Outlook skills.
