Genesis10 is seeking a Senior UX Design/Information Architecture for a 10 month onsite contract position with a mortgage loan corporation located in McLean, VA.

Summary:
We are seeking a contract Product Design to join our team of Designers in developing intuitive web applications and enterprise tools. This role requires a pragmatic designer with a user-centered, data-informed approach, and the ability to drive effective design solutions with guidance. You will partner with product and engineering to shape end-to-end experiences across model visualization and editor workflows, ensuring designs are scalable for enterprise users, consistent with a component system, and accessible. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of design methodologies, enterprise software, and sophisticated user experiences.

Your Impact
Strategy and Planning
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end design process, ensuring timely, detailed, and polished results.
  • Define use cases and Product Design requirements; create interaction flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Provide interactive prototype experiences that efficiently communicate ideas, workflows, and component functionality to partners.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that design and implementation align with business objectives and UX solutions, while also identifying future improvement opportunities.
  • Incorporate accessibility considerations (keyboard navigation, focus states, contrast, semantic structure, readable density) into design specs and review cycles.
Delivery & Execution
  • Provide design guidance for applications, considering dependencies and integration across the enterprise.
  • Seek peer reviews to establish and uphold design standards.
  • Demo designs and concepts to multi-functional partners throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering on feasibility and implementation details; provide UX QA during build to ensure fidelity and interaction quality.
  • Facilitate lightweight research: usability reviews with early adopters, rapid iteration based on feedback, and clear documentation of decisions.
Team Collaboration
  • Contribute to continual refinement of the Design System.
  • Foster collaboration to drive value, identify, and resolve impediments.
  • Lead multiple projects under guided supervision.
  • Advocate for UX Product Design practices by empathizing with and understanding user needs.

Qualifications:
Required (Must have)
  • 2-4+ years of Product Design experience, preferably in a fintech environment

  • Familiarity with LLM/Generative AI tools
  • Experience collaborating with developers and product partners; able to communicate tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated ability to design with accessibility in mind.
  • Strong understanding of Angular components/component-based UI design and how to apply component rules to complex app experiences.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles and experience with rapid prototyping.
  • Collaborative skills for cross-team work with various teams and fields.
  • Ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively to customers.
  • Experience in structuring and implementing design initiatives at scale.
  • Skills in creating, evaluating, and modifying prototypes for software application development.
  • Proficient in developing and applying software design/usability processes.
  • Capable of providing usability evaluation and support to product development teams.
  • Ability to articulate user needs and design solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
