Title: Analytical Leader
Location: Lake Jackson, TX
Relocation Available.
Additional locations include Plaquemine, LA and Charleston, TN. No relocation will be provided for these areas.

Salary: $135,000 - $198,000

Focus: The Analytical Leader for the Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls (CAPV) business implements standardized laboratory methods and processes for the purpose of ensuring testing accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and comprehensiveness across CAPV laboratories globally.

Analytical Leader Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establishes standard analytical work processes, policies and procedures, including the standardized use of laboratory informatics tools such as LIMS, SPC Software, Integration Manager, etc.
  • Leads the implementation of standardized test methods and analytical controls across CAPV.
  • Works with Purchasing and plant laboratories to establish standards for analytical instrumentation, software, service contracts and supplies.
  • Develops capital plans for instrument replacement. Coordinates actions as needed to respond to discontinuation of parts and services for installed base.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of laboratory safety and Chemical Hygiene plans across CAPV.
  • Establishes laboratory performance KPIs for CAPV.

Analytical Leader Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree* in Chemistry, Engineering, or Science-related discipline; Master's Degree or higher preferred.
  • 7+ years related industrial laboratory, quality assurance, or chemical manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in the use of highly-automated analytical instrumentation, such as: ICP, ICP-MS, GC, IC and AutoTitrators preferred.
  • Experience with analytical method development and validation preferred.
  • Experience with assigning and directing work, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and make or recommend adjustments based on findings including utilization of statistical methods. Experience using JMP, Minitab, or similar statistical software preferred.
  • Quality data management systems or laboratory information management systems experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard preferred.
  • Occasional travel (15%) to other Olin locations and meetings/training opportunities.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
