| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Residence Life Coordinator for Residence Life. This position reports to the Associate Director of Residential Communities for two of four campuses and is responsible for the day-to-day operations, activities and services for 400 to 1500 students living in residence halls and/or apartments.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Supervises undergraduate and/or graduate staff and develop a team that will implement all the activities, programs and services needed to create inclusive communities that reflect the mission and goals of Residence Life.
- Responds effectively and efficiently to resident concerns , and work with colleagues from Residence Life and Housing to address facilities related issues.
- Advises and develops students involved with hall government, living learning community peer mentors, and in-hall student leaders with an emphasis on empowerment and leadership development.
- Supports the daily operations of Residence Life and the fostering of a unique campus culture.
- Participates in campus based, departmental, and divisional trainings and is responsible for the evaluation of student staff.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in student affairs administration, higher education, or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of graduate and/or professional experience working in residence life.

- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
