Job Overview

The Transportation Initiatives Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our transportation strategy by driving large-scale initiatives with a strong focus on vendor performance and execution excellence. This position is accountable for influencing vendor behaviors to ensure compliance, reliability, and alignment with our operational standards and technology. You will have oversight of EXO programs, ensuring they deliver key supply chain outcomes while supporting the broader transportation network strategy.

What You Will Do



  • Lead enterprise transportation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and deliver measurable results across the network.
  • Own and manage Transportation EXO programs end-to-end, ensuring they meet environmental objectives and integrate seamlessly with transportation operations.
  • Drive vendor accountability and performance, setting clear expectations and implementing strategies that foster consistent execution and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of initiatives and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor vendor behaviors, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions that enhance operational success.
  • Build Relationships: Maintain Best-in- class partnerships with our vendors to collect feedback and influence the roadmap
  • Foster Inclusivity: Create an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • Promote Growth: Focus on and promote effective team member development.


Skills You Will Need

Leadership: Ability to lead projects effectively, ensuring smooth transition and rollout.

Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate training materials and support.

Collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating with operations to align operating models and deliver the best possible service to stores and customers.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement.

Performance Management: Ability to manage the performance of third-party software providers through key performance indicators, ensuring adherence to standards.

Financial Acumen: Understanding of finance principles to partner with finance on monthly budget planning and key financial metrics.

Team Development: Focus on promoting effective team member development, fostering a supportive work environment.

Transportation Management Tools: Working understanding of transportation management tools such as Blue Yonder, facilitating efficient transportation operations.

Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to solve problems efficiently and address issues directly as they arise, maintaining operational effectiveness.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years' experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Transportation.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
