Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 annually + 10% Cash Bonus

What You'll Lead

In this role, you'll oversee a diverse and dynamic operation that includes:

Operational Scope
  • Kenai: 3 main transfer sites + 6 remote transfer sites
  • Homer: Support for transfer station and landfill operations
  • Seward: Support for the CD cell and transfer station
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Supervise 10-15 employees on the Kenai side, including drivers and transfer station personnel
  • Manage day-to-day operations, staffing, and route/assignment adjustments
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain oversight of transfer station and landfill-related processes
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Support short- and long-term planning to improve operational outcomes
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with other Alaska sites to ensure consistency and performance across the region
Schedule & Work Location
  • Monday-Friday, 40-50 hours per week
  • Must be based on-site in Kenai
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, solid waste, or landfill/transfer station operations
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 90 days
  • Strong leadership presence - able to coach, correct, mentor, and motivate a frontline workforce
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in fluid environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems
  • Interest in future growth opportunities; mobility for long-term advancement is a plus
