Lead Operations Engineer-JLL

What this job involves:

As a Lead Operations Engineer at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of shaping a brighter way for our facilities operations, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of critical building systems across your assigned territory. This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, where you'll collaborate closely with Facility Management teams to maintain and optimize mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems that serve our commercial and broadcasting properties. Working in an environment where everyone is empowered to thrive, you'll lead preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and implement innovative strategies that set JLL apart in facilities excellence.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Perform daily site inspections and provide technical assistance for advanced building operations and troubleshooting.

* Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

* Collaborate with Facility Management teams to maintain chillers, building automation systems, door and gate systems, and building envelope components.

* Supervise preventative maintenance programs with minimal disruption to building services and tenant operations.

* Order parts and equipment for repairs, maintenance, and new installations while maintaining accurate inventory records.

* Provide on-call support to address critical client needs and emergency situations.

* Lead vendor coordination and delegate maintenance tasks to appropriate service providers.

Required qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 3+ years of experience in building operations, facilities maintenance, or related technical roles.

* Leadership or supervisory experience in facilities or maintenance operations.

* EPA Universal 608 certification required.

* Extensive HVAC experience and knowledge including troubleshooting and maintenance of commercial systems.

* Proven ability to troubleshoot complex building systems and equipment malfunctions.

Preferred qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field.

* Strong experience with building management systems and building automation technologies.s

* Knowledge of preventive maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Location: Atlanta,GA

Schedule: M-F morning shift
