Description

Markon's partner company is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support and maintain secure cloud and on-premise development environments. This role requires strong AWS infrastructure expertise, automation skills, and hands-on experience supporting engineering and lab environments in a secure setting.



Responsibilities

    Design, develop, and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript) and scripting
  • Configure and manage cloud-based networking services and architectures
  • Support and maintain a logically isolated development environment within the AWS Secret Cloud region
  • Monitor system health and perform routine patching and software updates across hosted services
  • Administer GitLab repositories, including user access control, CI/CD pipelines, and version management
  • Manage engineering SaaS tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Altium, Cameo, ANSYS HPC), including licensing, updates, and user support
  • Support physical lab environments, including network switch configuration, KVM architecture, and developer workstation connectivity
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize development workflows and infrastructure reliability


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of DevOps or related infrastructure engineering experience
  • Experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (TypeScript)
  • Experience operating in secure or classified cloud environments (e.g., AWS Secret Region)
  • Strong Linux system administration experience, including command-line operations and shell scripting
  • Working knowledge of Windows system administration
  • Experience administering GitLab, including CI/CD pipeline configuration
  • Experience with cloud networking and secure architecture design
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Working knowledge of database administration and client-server applications
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premise lab environments


Salary Range

USD $200,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
