$2,022.03 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Travels Countywide. Works schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled service work supervising the operations of Space Coast Area Transit (SCAT). Work includes supervising vehicle operators and ensuring service quality.



REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of experience in the operations, maintenance, and/or scheduling of automotive or transportation equipment or a closely related field OR two (2) years of experience as a Brevard County SCAT Vehicle Operator. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class A or Class B Commercial driver's license with a P endorsement and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must successfully complete a County-approved defensive driving course within 30 days of employment. Must have, or receive within 30 days of hire, certification in basic first-aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed. Must fill out and sign an Affidavit of Good Moral Character and successfully complete a criminal, a driver's license and a personal background investigation conducted by Brevard County and/or other agency. This position is a safety sensitive position as defined by the Federal Transit Administration's Drug and Alcohol Testing regulation.
