The Senior Director is accountable for the growth, delivery, and overall success of advisory and consulting engagements. This individual leads business development efforts, oversees execution, and ensures exceptional outcomes for clients across complex, highly regulated industries. The role requires deep expertise in at least one of the following domains: Infrastructure and network planning System modernization and long-term asset planning Market analysis and resource strategy Financial modeling, pricing, and regulatory economics Capital investment strategy Renewable and emerging energy solutions Asset portfolio advisory Electrification and low-emissions transportation See below for abbreviated job responsibilities and requirements. Location: Brea, CA (Onsite 5 Days/Week) or San Diego CA, Walnut Creek CA, Los Angeles CA (5 Days/Week) Type: Direct Placement (full-time, 40 hrs/week) Compensation: $220,000 - $410,000 annual Industry: Construction / Engineering / Architecture Citizenship Requirement: US citizenship. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end advisory engagements, including opportunity development, contract negotiation, delivery execution, and performance management across scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, facilitating working sessions to clarify objectives, identify challenges, and develop actionable strategies. Anticipate client needs and deliver innovative, practical solutions to complex business and operational problems. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, aligning internal teams and leadership through clear communication and disciplined planning. Build and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective resource utilization and strong collaboration across disciplines. Partner with internal experts and external vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes and manage third-party scope, schedule, and financial performance. Prepare and present clear, concise updates on engagement progress, financial status, risks, and impacts. Contribute to talent development through coaching, performance feedback, and participation in training and learning initiatives. Identify opportunities to expand services and deepen client relationships. Navigate ambiguity with confidence, leveraging modern tools, technologies, and best practices to drive results. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 13+ years of experience in consulting, advisory, or professional services environments. Proven success leading complex engagements and managing senior-level client relationships. Strong financial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to synthesize complex data and deliver clear, persuasive recommendations. Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary teams. Estimated Min Rate: $287000.00 Estimated Max Rate: $410000.00 What's In It for You?
