DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Medical Records Examiner, you will perform detailed clinical and fiscal reviews of skilled nursing facilities to ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including minimum data set assessments, pre-admission screening and resident reviews, Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, and Utilization Management reviews. This educational, forward-thinking role serves as a vital resource for facility success and resident well-being across Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. In this position, you will have an opportunity to utilize your exceptional organizational skills, high-level computer proficiency, and ability to work independently while maintaining precise oral and written communication. You will coordinate virtual entrance and exit conferences with facility leadership and document complex issues using descriptive, technical language. While primarily remote or virtual, this role requires occasional travel for on-site facility visits, employee onboarding, and formal in-person training.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Occasional travel may be required
- Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
