POSITION SPECIFICS Penn State Lehigh Valley is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Practical Nursing Program Coordinator. The position will report to the Penn State Lehigh Valley Director of Continuing Education and the statewide PN program Director. The Practical Nursing Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of the evening and weekend Practical Nursing Program for Penn State Lehigh Valley. The coordinator develops instructional materials and directs educational planning activities. Other responsibilities include part-time instruction per module, development and coordination of the instructional plan schedule including clinical experiences. Assists in recruiting and retaining students, preparing and monitoring program budget, maintaining student records, and contributing to curriculum development. Provides or directs student counseling and support services as needed. The coordinator holds responsibility for conducting program, student, faculty, and staff evaluations. Assists in providing supervision and serving as a resource for PN instructors. Serves as liaison with clinical sites and the community. Requires a current Registered Nurse License in PA. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
