As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service while documenting observations and incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly conduct, and access control concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout interior areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances and controlled access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and support staff with de-escalation and customer service interactions.
  • Document and report incidents, hazards, and unusual activity, and coordinate with site leadership and local emergency services when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 2+ years' law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
