As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response. You will document observations, communicate clearly with teams and visitors, and deliver customer service with a caring, people-first approach. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout tech-focused office, campus, and/or data-related areas, including exterior perimeter checks, to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, visitor check-in processes, and delivery activity; verify identification and/or authorization as required by site procedures.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate clearly with onsite contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete timely incident reports and daily activity logs, including documentation of patrols, access control activity, and observed issues requiring follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
