Security Officer - Armed Full Time

As a Security Officer - Armed Bike Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and/or authorization for employees, contractors and visitors, following post orders and site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public sector partners as directed.
• Prepare timely reports on patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate updates using radios, phones and/or electronic reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
