Security Officer - Access Control Desk

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage badges and visitor logs, and help maintain smooth entry and exit at the gatehouse. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to questions and concerns with strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community location.
• Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in processes, and/or maintaining entry logs in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, gates, and other access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; report issues and maintenance needs through the appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when directed and completing detailed incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of community grounds, common areas, and perimeter points to observe conditions, identify security-related concerns, and/or document findings per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
