Position Summary


The National Account Power Rental Operations Manager provides operational leadership for the Walmart power rental program nationwide. This role oversees service execution, process development, and performance standards while partnering closely with the National Fleet Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality customer support.



The position expands upon traditional Power Rental Service Supervisor responsibilities with a national focus, driving SOP development, operational efficiency, and scalable processes dedicated to the Walmart account.



Key Responsibilities


Operational Leadership



  • Provide oversight of daily service operations supporting Walmart power rental locations nationwide.
  • Ensure service delivery meets response time, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Act as escalation point for complex operational or service challenges.


Customer & Account Support



  • Partner with the National Fleet Manager to support customer communication, issue resolution, and service planning.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with Walmart stakeholders regarding performance, needs, and improvements.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to customer satisfaction and operational readiness.


Service Execution & Technical Coordination



  • Perform responsibilities aligned with a Power Rental Service Supervisor, including:
  • Coordinating service work and technician dispatch support
  • Monitoring open work orders and service completion
  • Supporting troubleshooting and technical escalation
  • Ensuring service documentation and compliance standards are met


Process Development & SOP Creation



  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures specific to the Walmart power rental program.
  • Identify workflow gaps and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Establish consistent escalation paths, communication protocols, and service response guidelines.


Cross-Dealer & Internal Collaboration



  • Work with CAT dealerships, internal rental teams, logistics, and parts departments to streamline support.
  • Partner closely with the National Fleet Manager on daily operations, fleet visibility, and customer management.
  • Promote alignment and best practices across participating dealers.


Performance Tracking & Reporting



  • Monitor KPIs such as response times, uptime, service cycle time, and fleet readiness.
  • Provide operational reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support forecasting, staffing planning, and capacity management.


Requirements

Qualifications



  • 5+ years of strong experience in power generation, heavy equipment rental, or service operations leadership.
  • Background as a service supervisor or similar operational leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building SOPs and improving operational processes.
  • Ability to manage multi-location service programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, bend and stoop to perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
