As a Security Officer - Armed Foot Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. This post requires Texas Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, help to deter policy violations, and address security-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations, including alarms, disturbances, and medical events, and coordinate with site leadership and/or local law enforcement as directed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate key information to the Allied Universal chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
