Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Specialist

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks as needed, use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, and deliver strong customer service through clear, professional communication. At Allied Universal, you will act with integrity while working as part of a caring, reliable team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and team members by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, and exterior perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and delivery traffic, and directing persons to the proper check-in process.
• Document patrol observations, incident details, and shift activities in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate key information during shift handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
