Security Officer - Roving Patrol

As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and provide a professional customer experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the automotive facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and/or critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, directing traffic flow, and logging visitor and/or contractor activity per site requirements.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observed issues promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
