Talent Acquisition Intern

The Cone Health Talent Acquisition Team is directly responsible for the sourcing, recruitment, and hiring of tomorrow's healthcare professionals. Supporting a health system of over 13,000 employees serving Alamance, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, and surrounding counties, Talent Acquisition utilizes a variety of innovative recruitment strategies for meeting the system-wide hiring demands of both Cone's clinical and non-clinical leadership teams.

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date and orientation on Monday, June 1, 2026. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.

Interns hired for the summer cohort will be enrolled in Campus Greensboro's Summer Fellows Program. This is an in-person, professional development training program sponsored by Cone Health.

To be considered, candidates must meet at least one of the below criteria:

Local College Students: Attendees of local institutions including University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Guilford College, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College, Bennett College, Elon University and School of Law, North Carolina A&T State University.

Guilford County High School Graduates: Those who graduated from Guilford County high schools and are now furthering their education outside of Greensboro.

First Generation College Students: Students who are the first in their families to attend any college or university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data related to program performance, workforce trends, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners on campaigns, initiatives, and special projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition recruitment process to include interviewing, interview scheduling, and any other relevant tasks assigned by Talent Acquisition leadership.
  • Support the development, implementation, and tracking of internal and external initiatives, events
  • Assist with database management, reporting, and documentation of key processes.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on industry benchmarks, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, meetings, and program rollouts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project lead.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate level students junior classification or above, recent graduates, and graduate level students pursuing the following majors: HR, Business, or Health Services Management/Healthcare Administration
  • Minimum Program GPA of 3.0
  • Passion for pursuing a career in the talent acquisition field and/or Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record for meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to listen empathetically and organize information logically.
