*This role will support Ophthalmology at Downtown Nelson Clinic, Downtown CHOR, Fredericksburg CHOR, and Stony Point 8700 locations. There will be expectation that Ophthalmic Manager will travel to one of these sites to help support as business needs permit.* The Ophthalmology Manager will manage and provide operational oversight to the department/business functions of all geographic locations to ensure efficient and effective operations. This job serves as a resource and clinical leader for patients, staff, and management and provides direction, education, and serving as a role model in a clinical setting. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Technologist (COMT) Experience REQUIRED: Five (5) years of experience as an Ophthalmic Tech with at least two years as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT). One year of leadership experience. Experience PREFERRED Academic healthcare experience 5 years' of progressive leadership/management experience Education/training REQUIRED: Associate's Degree in Health Science or related field. Education/training PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or related field and graduation from an accredited, certificate-awarded Ophthalmic Medical Technologist program Days EEO Employer/Disabled/Protected Veteran/41 CFR 60-1.4.
