Description

The Curricular Affairs Administrative Assistant manages a
wide range of responsibilities that support the day-to-day administration of
one or more academic or nonacademic units. Administrative support includes
planning and development activities, as well as interpreting, monitoring, and
analyzing information related to policies and procedures. The role completes
special projects and assignments that are moderately sensitive or complex and
requires independence and initiative in execution and implementation. The
position handles confidential and critical matters in support of the unit and
demonstrates sound judgment in determining appropriate methods and techniques
to obtain solutions.

Salary Range: $30.36 - 43.49 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of
education and experience.

Three (3) years minimum of Business operations and/or
administration experience.

Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high
level of confidentiality.

Proficient knowledge of common computer application
programs (MSOffice Suite- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Solid and proven analytical / problem solving skills.

Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work
effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans,
Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written.

Preferred:

Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of
institutions of higher education.
