We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with day and evening shift rotations, including every other weekend and holiday. The ideal candidate will hold a New York State Nursing Assistant Certification and have at least one year of experience working in a long-term care setting.


Education

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.


Experience

  • Minimum of 1-year experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.


Certifications

  • NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
  • BLS Certification (must be through AHA or RQI)


Job Functions

  • Assist residents with daily living needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care, as per care plan.
  • Maintain resident safety and environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, preventing falls, and cleaning the unit.
  • Support residents with meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, using adaptive equipment, and honoring food preferences.
  • Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion exercises, walking, transfers, proper positioning, and use of aids.
  • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Measure and record weight, intake, and output.
  • Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
  • Help with residents' social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship.
  • Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights at all times.
  • Report resident concerns, changes, or refusals to the nurse promptly.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol.


Other Information

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks may lead to contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
