Certified Medical Coders - Outpnt & ED

We are seeking experienced medical coders to join our team, specializing in outpatient and emergency department coding within an acute care setting. The ideal candidate must possess proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and Encoder. A thorough understanding of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, and federal billing guidelines is essential. Additionally, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes is required, along with the ability to research coding-related issues. Competence in coder training and familiarity with the 3M/HDS coding application is necessary.

• High School Diploma/GED
• AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS certification

• Three years of experience with knowledge of ICD-10
• Experience with EPIC and 3M systems
• CCS or CPC certification required
• Minimum of 4 years of outpatient coding experience preferred
• Strong background in inpatient coding
• Ability to work with minimal training

This role is initially remote with 1-2 weeks of onsite training at the start. The hiring manager is flexible with the schedule. The position transitions to remote work once duties are mastered.

We are seeking certified coders with strong emergency department coding experience. The candidate should be able to work independently and efficiently.
