Job Description

Performs building and grounds housekeeping. Maintains appearance and function of restrooms, lunch and break areas, and grounds. Distributes common supplies to production areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • 1. Provides for a clean work environment by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and removing trash from offices, restrooms and common areas.
  • 2. Ensures sanitary common areas: Scrubs and waxes floors using hand and power equipment and cleans using chemicals on fixtures.
  • 3. Maintains building appearance: Polices grounds for trash; empties trash receptacles; replaces light bulbs; washes windows by using ladders or lifts as necessary.
  • 4. Orders and maintains adequate supply of exhaustible items. Replaces stock in offices, restrooms, eyewash stations and water bottles.
  • 5. Contributes to a drug free workplace by abiding by established policies regarding use of illegal substances in the workplace.
  • 6. Contributes to a safe working environment by responding to spills quickly and posting signs when needed.
  • 7. Uses blood-born pathogen steps; disposes of biological and hazardous materials, as appropriate; wears/uses all required safety equipment and abides by all safety rules and regulations


Qualifications


  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within set schedules
  • Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is a plus
  • Flexibility to work weekends and nights when necessary


Additional Information

Safety: Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals.

Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions.

Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's

performance appraisal.
