What will you do as Director of Accounting?

  • Financial reporting - Prepare financial statements and analysis, including financial reporting requested by funders.
  • Budgeting - Develop and implement the annual budget to meet organizational financial goals.
  • Annual audit - Coordinate all annual audit activities and review tax return filings.
  • Internal controls - Provide and maintain framework for internal controls around financial management and reporting.
  • Lead accounting team - Supervise and oversee the Accounting Manager.

What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting required. MBA preferred.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and/or auditing.
  • Prior financial leadership experience in non-profit organizations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); prior QuickBooks experience is a plus.
