Position summary:

The Payroll & Benefits Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of payroll and employee benefits. This role serves as the operational backbone as the sole administrator for processing and management of our programs and ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high-quality employee experience. The role partners closely with HR leadership, Finance, external vendors, and managers across the organization.

We have a flexible work schedule where employees can work from home one day a week.

Essential functions and responsibilities

Payroll Administration



  • Administer biweekly payroll processing from end to end
  • Validate payroll inputs including:

    • New hires, terminations, and changes
    • Compensation updates
    • Time and attendance data


  • Partner with HR and Finance for payroll review, approvals, and reconciliation
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly
  • Support payroll audits and year-end activities (W-2s, reconciliations)


Vendor Management



  • Partner with benefits brokers and vendors to:

    • Maintain plan accuracy
    • Manage eligibility
    • Resolve enrollment issues


  • Establish and maintain file feeds and system integrations between HRIS, payroll, and benefit providers
  • Ensure data accuracy across systems


Leave & Employee Support



  • Administer leave programs (FMLA, state leaves, disability, company leaves)
  • Partner with HR Consulting and managers to ensure compliant leave administration
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to:

    • Payroll
    • Benefits
    • Leave policies




Compliance & Process Control



  • Ensure payroll and benefits processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain documentation for payroll and benefits procedures
  • Support internal audits and external vendor reviews
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce errors


Knowledge, skills and abilities:



  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Experience with biweekly payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration and leave management
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (Workday and ADP preferred)
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Strong customer service and communication skills



Potential Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

This salary range reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
