About the role

We are seeking a data-driven Compensation Analyst to manage the development, implementation, and administration of our compensation programs. This role is responsible for ensuring pay practices remain competitive, equitable, and compliant with statutory requirements. You will serve as a technical partner to leadership, translating market intelligence into actionable salary structures and organizational designs.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Austin, TX.

What will you be doing?


Market Analysis & Benchmarking

  • Survey Management: Lead participation in global compensation surveys (e.g., Radford/Aon) to collect and synthesize competitive salary data.
  • Competitive Positioning: Analyze market trends to evaluate the company's position and recommend data-backed adjustments to salary structures.
  • Tool Optimization: Utilize Radford and Pave for benchmarking, real-time data management, and visualization.


Job Architecture & Organizational Design

  • Job Audits: Partner with department heads to review job content and prepare accurate descriptions that reflect current business needs.
  • Classification: Evaluate new and revised positions to determine appropriate salary grades and FLSA exemption status.
  • Structure Strategy: Recommend job revisions and organizational design improvements to maintain internal equity and career path clarity.


Administration, Governance & Compliance

  • Salary Adjustments: Review proposed pay changes to ensure alignment with company guidelines, compensation philosophy, and fiscal goals.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including DOL and Equal Pay acts; serve as the subject matter expert on risk mitigation.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as a consultant to HR and business leaders to resolve complex compensation issues through technical analysis.


Specialized Incentives & Global Programs

  • Variable Pay Analysis: Perform studies and provide recommendations on incentive compensation, including annual bonus plans, sales commissions, and equity/LTI programs.
  • Global Support: Support the administration of both domestic and international compensation programs.


What are we looking for?



  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Compensation, HR Analytics, or Total Rewards.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (data modeling, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) is required. Experience with Pave and Radford is strongly preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of FLSA regulations and compensation theory (compa-ratios, market pricing, and salary banding).
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex financial and data concepts into clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders and hiring managers.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
