Job Description




As a Security Officer - Daytime Patrol Driver - Healthcare in Minnetonka, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service while using teamwork to respond to concerns with integrity, backed by Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, assisting with visitor check-in processes, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and patrol observations, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs to help maintain consistent site coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license in the state in which the job is located is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
