Program Duration

Our internship program runs approximately 40 hours per week, from June 1st through mid-August.

The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an Intern - Business Analyst to join our Care Model team!

In this role, you will support our Identification & Stratification team by helping build the logic that powers our Care Model outreach campaigns. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements, and serve as a liaison between the Care Model team and our technical partners to ensure accurate and timely implementation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the development of logic and criteria used in Care Model outreach campaigns.
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across the organization.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications for technical teams.
  • Assist in testing, reviewing, and validating logic configurations and campaign outputs.
  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and cross-functional discussions.
  • Help maintain documentation, workflows, and process updates related to Care Model initiatives.
  • Provide general support to the ID & Stratification and Care Model teams as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this internship, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in an educational program for the duration of the internship.
  • Completed at least one year (2 semesters or credits equivalent) by the start of the internship.
  • Undergrad Degree in Engineering, Data, Statistics or Mathematics is preferred.
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
  • Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including being on-site at least 2 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $22.50 - $23.50 - $24.50 Hourly

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
