Position Summary The Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives (time-bound and ongoing automated) that support the credit union's planned members/deposits/lending/payments growth and expansion across both regional and digital markets. A key part of this role is working with business intelligence metrics, member and marketplace insights to interpret strategic growth opportunities for members and potential members (across all high-growth segments, incl: Gen Z, Alpha, Hispanic, etc. along with the general market). This role will be a part of our Agile operating model, teams and processes, ensuring we are presenting opportunities uncovered by our research and competitive/marketplace assessments. As a senior individual contributor, the Director will collaborate across functions, provide strategic influence without direct authority, and ensure marketing efforts are aligned with organizational priorities and outcomes. Perform duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. Supervises: None Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Marketing Strategy Development * Develop and implement growth marketing strategies that support member/deposits/lending/payments growth across TTCU's geographies (NE OK, Tulsa metro, OKC metro), along with key growth sales/service channels (incl. digital) and overall organizational objectives. * Identify market opportunities and design plans that drive measurable outcomes in member acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty. * Own strategic growth planning for marketing, working with peers inside and outside marketing. o Growth strategy & planning, marketing growth roadmap * Oversee Product Marketing, Lifecycle/Segmentation, and opportunities to meet member/marketplace needs. * Lead general market, key segment member and potential member needs, based on proprietary and third-party research. * Ensure GTM strategy supports deposits, lending, mortgage, payments and digital banking opportunities. * Connect insights product/service needs (incl by key segment) channel execution across marketing. Brand Oversight * Lead the strategic planning and oversight of TTCU brand positioning and initiatives, ensuring consistent positioning, messaging, and execution across all channels. * Partner with internal teams and external partners to support brand transformation definition and implementation. Digital Attraction and Engagement * Develop strategies to maximize marketing effectiveness across digital platforms from engagement to sales/conversions. * Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty initiatives. Member Feedback Strategy * Provide input on marketing strategy needs to the credit union's comprehensive member feedback strategy. * Collaborate with the Member Experience team to ensure member insights inform marketing and organizational decision-making. Agile Transformation Support * Partner with existing value streams and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic growth marketing opportunities are appropriately scoped and prioritized. * Demonstrate willingness to learn and apply Scaled Agile principles; prior experience is preferred. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Provide thought leadership and strategic influence across departments without direct supervisory authority. * Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on marketing strategy and planning. Minimum Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. Certificates/Licenses Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have a clean driving record; an annual MVR may be pulled to ensure compliance. Experience 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing strategy, brand transformation, and growth strategies / implementation, preferably within financial services or a related industry with transferable skills. Additional Requirements Job Knowledge * Demonstrated success in developing and executing measurable strategies for driving growth through an overall marketing strategy that translates to acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty. * Driven by strategic growth (revenue, profit) delivery founded on business/member/potential member/marketplace. We prize creative problem solutions, yet they must be based on facts and ability to measure success in growth (members, products, dollar revenue & profit). * Proven experience in overseeing rebrands initiatives. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to design, interpret, and apply metrics to drive strategic decisions. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization and convey complex strategies in a clear, concise and compelling manner. * Familiarity with Agile or Scaled Agile frameworks preferred; willingness to learn required. Interpersonal Skills * Ability to work effectively across departments and teams, fostering cooperation and alignment toward common goals. * Skilled at guiding and persuading stakeholders without direct supervisory authority, using expertise and strategic insight to drive outcomes. * Capacity to interact confidently with senior leaders, presenting recommendations, and influencing decision-making at the executive level. * Proven ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, external partners, and vendors. * Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, adjusting approach to meet the evolving needs of the organization and stakeholders. * Skilled in managing differing viewpoints constructively and fostering consensus in support of strategic priorities. * Ability to maintain focus on member needs and perspectives when shaping strategies and recommendations. Working Conditions Work Environment * Routinely perform work indoors in a climate controlled shared workspace with moderate noise. * Perform the job independently and work effectively either on your own or as part of a team. * Plan your own work activity as well as the work activity of others. * Capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Physical Demands * Routinely perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion, and lifting up to 10lbs * Must be able to operate office equipment including computers, cell phone, telephone, copier, and calculators * Routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day * Capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations * Capable of working extended hours whenever required or requested by management on occasion Travel * Occasional travel by automobile for meetings, conferences, and industry related events * Occasional travel by commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation for conferences, seminars, and industry related events Equal Opportunity Employer
