About the Role We're seeking a reliable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to support commercial installation projects throughout the Charleston area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handson work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and wants to grow their technical skillset in structured cabling and lowvoltage systems. Key Responsibilities * Install, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling * Build and dress network racks, patch panels, and cable pathways * Install and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, and security systems * Read and follow blueprints, floor plans, and scope-of-work documents * Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments * Operate lifts (scissor/boom) for overhead cable runs (if certified) * Collaborate with project leads to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks Required Skills & Experience * 1+ year of low-voltage, structured cabling, or related electrical experience * Ability to run, pull, label, and dress cable neatly and efficiently * Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and testers * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications * Experience with fiber termination (LC/SC) * Knowledge of CCTV, access control, or AV systems * OSHA 10 or 30 certification * Scissor lift or boom lift certification Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
