The Opportunity

They are seeking a visionary leader to drive their global procurement and supply chain strategy, making a tangible impact on their operational efficiency, cost savings, and overall value creation. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping their future, optimizing their supply base, and building a robust, resilient supply chain that supports ambitious growth objectives. This position offers a chance to build and lead a foundational procurement function, with significant future growth potential within the organization. The person in this role must have experience sourcing in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

What You'll Do:

* Lead and develop the organization's supply and operations planning function and methodologies.

* Serve as a pivotal sourcing and supply chain leader, collaborating closely with business unit personnel.

* Drive the strategic sourcing efforts for a diverse portfolio of direct and indirect spend commodities and services.

* Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies informed by market assessments and pricing drivers.

* Cultivate and maintain strategic, ethical supplier relationships to foster cost savings, efficiency, and access to the latest market trends and technologies.

* Apply methodical Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) sourcing techniques to identify and realize savings opportunities.

* Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective inventory strategies and forecasting processes, optimizing inventory levels and reducing obsolescence.

* Design, build, and automate key reports and dashboards to monitor inventory, turns, and working capital trends.

* Identify, track, and report on cost savings and working capital reduction initiatives.

* Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, from requirements gathering and RFx initiatives to analysis, recommendation, and strategy execution.

* Draft, negotiate, and execute complex supplier agreements to secure strategic business opportunities and savings.

* Ensure rigorous supplier compliance with all contractual provisions.

* Actively participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects.

Must-Have Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

* 10+ years of strategic sourcing or related business experience.

* Experience sourcing in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

* Demonstrated experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

* Hands-on working knowledge of key raw material supply chains, such as metals.

* Experience managing global plant operations and supply bases.

* Experience with sales and operations planning.

* Exceptional organizational, communication (oral and written), and time management skills.

* Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

* Excellent computer skills and proficiency with standard office software suites.

* Strong problem-solving abilities and a "can-do" attitude.

* Ability to independently develop and implement strategic initiatives.

* Willingness to travel up to 25-30% internationally.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $140k - $150k + bonus. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
