Marvell is a leader in data infrastructure solutions that enable faster, more reliable data movement across cloud and data center environments. Our cutting-edge PAM4 DSP technology supports 200G, 400G, and 800G intra-data center connectivity, while our Coherent DSP solutions enable 100G and 400G inter-data center communications. Marvell partners closely with the world's leading cloud hyperscalers to drive innovation from copper PHY to optical solutions.

What You Can Expect

As an Entry-Level Product Engineer within Marvell's Product Engineering organization, you will be part of the AI Connectivity group, working on high-speed data center products. This role offers hands-on exposure to semiconductor product engineering and close collaboration with experienced engineers across the U.S. and APAC. It is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates looking to build a strong foundation in semiconductor product development and manufacturing.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including silicon bring-up, validation of new features, and enhancement of existing products.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, test, foundry, and reliability engineering teams throughout the NPI lifecycle.
  • Assist with product characterization during engineering sample phases.
  • Monitor early-life yield, identify systematic issues, and support root-cause investigations during product ramp.
  • Help ensure a smooth transition from development to high-volume manufacturing (HVM).
  • Perform basic data mining and statistical analysis of wafer sort and final test data under guidance.
  • Participate in functional testing and reliability assessments to ensure product quality and robustness.
  • Support test engineering teams in resolving test program and coverage issues.
  • Assist in coordinating engineering sample builds for early customer engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, cycle time improvement, yield enhancement, and product performance.
  • Learn and support production capacity improvements post-release, including test time reduction, yield optimization, and alternate sourcing.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly and effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Engage with external test subcontractors during early production phases under mentorship.

What We're Looking For

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (M.S. preferred).
  • 0-2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry (internships, co-ops, or academic projects encouraged).
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor fundamentals, including device physics, manufacturing processes, and test concepts; exposure to advanced technology nodes (7nm and below) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with yield analysis, quality and statistical tools (e.g., GR&R, Cp, Cpk) through coursework or project experience.
  • Exposure to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as Advantest 93K, Teradyne UltraFlex, or test handlers/probers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data interpretation and root-cause analysis; willingness to learn test development and debug methodologies.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, JMP, or Excel is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to collaborate effectively with senior engineers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
