Job Summary

The Federal Account Director will have national responsibility for Incyte's Oncology and Dermatology portfolios in the Federal Channel. Key customers to include the VA VISN Formulary Executives and targeted DOD accounts. The FAD will work closely with the Sr. Director Government Accounts to maintain and improve access where appropriate. The FAD will be expected to develop appropriate regional strategies and tactics in support of the Company's commercial objectives and priorities in collaboration with the Sr Director Government Accounts and other appropriate cross-functional teams. She/ he is also expected to carry out channel and account specific plan of actions and to meet and/ or exceed the measures and metrics for performance.

Essential Functions

* Strategically focus on the VA VISN Formulary Executives and targeted DOD customers for access to Incyte's Oncology and Dermatology portfolios.

* Responsibility to manage VPEs and interact with key decision makers in VAMCs important to Incyte's therapeutic areas.

* Collaborate with Sr Director Government Accounts to develop strategic business plans to enhance access.

* Focus on Federal Market KOL outreach for development at local and regional level.

* Assist in program development for with Federal Customers - AMD, APHA, JFPS, etc

* Focus on pursuing opportunities in the VA and DoD

* Further Relationship with Leadership and members of the Association of Military Dermatologists

* Oversight of Federal Healthcare Committee - Dermatology

* Pursue opportunities in VAMCs generated from Federal Health Care Committee

* Consistently monitor and manage competition in this channel.

* Respond to RAD and Field Based questions about the Federal Channel

* Contributor for Non-personal promotion in the channel

* Maintain strong understanding of legal and regulatory parameters related to the role.

* Comply with all Incyte promotional and administrative policies and applicable law.

* Reports to Sr Director Regional Accounts up to Executive Director Payer Accounts

Qualifications

* Minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical or healthcare experience (prior therapeutic area or biologics experience highly desirable); district management, account management and/or managed markets experience preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years in Account Management.

* Experience working with regional and national payers.

* Must have keen sense of self-motivation/initiative, excellent decision-making judgment, strong teaming/collaboration skills (across functions) and the ability to learn and adapt to environment to overcome obstacles.

* Must be resilient and adaptable with ability to recover from setback and problems and learn from mistakes.

* Ability to lead without authority in complex, cross functional teams and build strategic long-term partnerships.

* Demonstrated success in translating vision and strategy into tactical plans to drive business; ability to develop and execute localized strategic plans.

* Experience interacting with KOLs or high influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.

* Effective communication, presentation, and decision-making skills (particularly in resource allocation). Exceptional ability to clearly communicate and articulate strategy and tactics in a way that motivates and energizes customer team.

* Strong business analytic skills and ability to effectively analyze metrics to assess progress against objectives.

* Oncology and Neurology experience preferred.

* Domestic travel up to 50% when necessary
