Job Title: Web Content Developer - Army Cyber/IT Environment

Certification:
* CompTia Security+ CE or CySA+.
* Microsoft SharePoint AND Microsoft SharePoint Online AND Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (current MS-offered equivalent is acceptable)
Job Summary:
The Web Content Developer is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining secure, mission-focused web content for Army cyber and IT environments. This position ensures that websites provide accurate, compliant, and engaging information to support Army operations, cybersecurity initiatives, and organizational objectives. The role emphasizes content development and user experience rather than programming, while adhering to Department of Defense (DoD) and Army security standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
* Secure Content Development:
o Conceive and develop written and graphical content for Army websites to provide mission-critical information to authorized users.
o Gather and integrate data from multiple Army departments and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
o Maintain content integrity for classified and unclassified environments in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
* User Experience & Design Standards:
o Develop and enforce user interface and design standards to improve usability and accessibility for Army personnel.
o Monitor web trends and implement best practices to enhance site presence and functionality within secure networks.
o Recommend improvements to features and navigation while ensuring compliance with Army IT security protocols.
* Collaboration & Compliance:
o Work closely with cybersecurity teams, system administrators, and mission stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and security.
o Ensure compliance with DoD directives, Army regulations, and federal accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508).
o Create and manage secure links to approved external and internal resources.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay informed on emerging web technologies, cybersecurity requirements, and Army IT policies.
o Assist in developing strategies to increase secure web presence and improve user experience within controlled environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Security Clearance: SECRET
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Web Design, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
* 2+ years in web content development or digital media within a DoD or military environment.
* Familiarity with Army cybersecurity policies, NIST standards, and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Skills:
* Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and security compliance.
* Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and secure web usability standards.
* Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Additional Competencies:
* Knowledge of DoD and Army cybersecurity directives and information assurance requirements.
* Familiarity with secure hosting environments and Army-approved web platforms.
* Ability to work in a classified environment and maintain confidentiality.
