Join Copper River Information Technology and embark on a dynamic journey where technology meets innovation! We're on the lookout for an exceptional Sr. Federal Sales Account Manager to drive revenue growth and expanding strategic relationships within the U.S. Intelligence Community and select federal civilian and defense agencies. This role requires a seasoned federal sales professional with deep knowledge of IC customers, procurement vehicles, and mission-critical IT solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles, collaborating with OEM partners, and delivering technology solutions that support national security missions.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Account Management & Growth



  • Own and manage a portfolio of Intelligence Community and federal agency accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for customers and partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow existing contracts and identify new opportunities across hardware, software, and professional services.
  • Maintain strong, trusted relationships with government customers, program managers, contracting officers, and integrators.


Business Development & Sales Execution



  • Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities within cleared and unclassified environments.
  • Navigate complex federal procurement processes, including GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and agency-specific contract vehicles.
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through proposal development, award, and execution handoff.
  • Ideal Candidate has the following attributes: * In-depth experience selling into US National Intelligence agencies with strategic relationships with one or more of the following; NSA, DIA, NGA, NRO, ODNI, CIA


Partner & Internal Collaboration



  • Work closely with OEM partners (e.g., networking, cybersecurity, cloud, data center, and infrastructure providers) to align solutions with mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, contracts, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping, pricing, and delivery.
  • Support capture strategy development, proposal reviews, and customer presentations.


Market & Mission Awareness



  • Stay current on Intelligence Community priorities, agency budgets, acquisition trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to leadership and partner teams to inform go-to-market strategies.


Essential Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:



  • Active or prior U.S. government security clearance (TS/SCI strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of federal IT sales experience, with a strong focus on the Intelligence Community and/or national security agencies.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex federal accounts and closing multimillion-dollar deals.
  • Deep understanding of IC customers, procurement processes, and contract vehicles.
  • Experience selling IT reseller solutions, including hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, and professional services.
  • Strong executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting agencies such as ODNI, CIA, NSA, DIA, NGA, or IC components within DoD or DHS.
  • Familiarity with OEM partners commonly used in IC environments (e.g., networking, security, and infrastructure vendors).
  • Experience working with system integrators and teaming partners.
