Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at our soybean processing facility in Hastings, NE. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for aligning plant performance with business goals-ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation. In this role, you'll shape the short- and long-term direction of the plant while working closely with executive management. We're looking for a dynamic leader with strong technical knowledge, strategic insight, and a passion for developing high-performing teams. Salary for this role is commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor plant personnel; manage training, performance, and workforce planning. Oversee daily production operations, maintenance, and logistics to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Manage inventory systems including product storage, procurement, and transportation coordination. Monitor plant safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance. Review financial and production reports; develop and manage capital and operating budgets. Ensure full compliance with PSM, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and all applicable regulations. Collaborate across departments to drive process optimization and operational consistency.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, processing, or related fields. 5+ years in plant operations or production management. Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, PSM, NFPA, EPA). Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, safety, and results. Strong business acumen and experience in budget planning and execution. Familiarity with process automation, controls, and logistics (rail & truck preferred). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
