Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead operations at our soybean processing facility in Hastings, NE. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for aligning plant performance with business goals-ensuring safety, efficiency, and innovation.

In this role, you'll shape the short- and long-term direction of the plant while working closely with executive management. We're looking for a dynamic leader with strong technical knowledge, strategic insight, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Salary for this role is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor plant personnel; manage training, performance, and workforce planning.

  • Oversee daily production operations, maintenance, and logistics to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

  • Manage inventory systems including product storage, procurement, and transportation coordination.

  • Monitor plant safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.

  • Review financial and production reports; develop and manage capital and operating budgets.

  • Ensure full compliance with PSM, OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and all applicable regulations.

  • Collaborate across departments to drive process optimization and operational consistency.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, processing, or related fields.

  • 5+ years in plant operations or production management.

  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, PSM, NFPA, EPA).

  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development, safety, and results.

  • Strong business acumen and experience in budget planning and execution.

  • Familiarity with process automation, controls, and logistics (rail & truck preferred).

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
