Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. * Medical school diploma * Board Certification in Pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine * Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Colorado * Current DEA license at time of hire * Professional research experience investigating fetal growth restriction * 2 years' experience working in tertiary/quaternary NICU setting * 2 years' experience in Neonatal postoperative care Condition of Employment: * Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado * Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check *For questions regarding Children's Hospital drug testing requirements, please contact Children's Human Resources at 720-777-8598. Preferred Qualifications: * Board-certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine * Minimum 3 years' experience working in tertiary/quaternary NICU setting * Minimum 3 years' experience in Neonatal postoperative care Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards of care relating to professional activities within the newborn units. This responsibility includes the establishment of the appropriate mechanisms to ensure that these rules, regulations and standards are adhered to. * The skill and ability to assure the quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care services provided within the different clinical services. * The ability to actively participate in the direct patient care of high-risk newborns. * The ability to actively participate in all academic activities of the Section. * The skill and ability to ensure education of the highest quality of pediatric housestaff, medical students, fellows, private physicians in the management of high-risk newborns. * The knowledge and ability to develop and implement appropriate clinical and/or basic research projects independently and apply for external funding. |
