Lab Coordinator

Location: Roswell, GA (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $28-$29 per hour

Position Overview

Total Talent Solutions is seeking a Lab Coordinator to bring innovative ideas to life through hands-on prototyping and lab leadership. This role blends creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving to transform concepts into high-quality prototypes that can be tested, refined, and showcased. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys working with both people and tools.

Key Responsibilities



  • Design and build high-fidelity prototypes with minimal direction, using a wide range of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Develop prototypes in multiple formats, including functional and non-functional products, packaging, kits, boards, illustrations, photos, and videos
  • Adapt, improve, and reinvent prototyping techniques to support innovation and evolving design needs
  • Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate based on feedback
  • Identify and solve prototyping challenges while recommending improvements to designs and processes
  • Apply knowledge of consumer pain points and unmet needs to refine concepts and prototypes
  • Manage project goals, timelines, and deliverables, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
  • Support leadership and innovation events, including content creation, display setup, and teardown
  • Mentor and train new team members and prototypers assigned to projects
  • Assist with lab leadership duties such as equipment training, submitting work orders, and performing chemical sweeps

  • Demonstrations and business validations (Demos & BVs)
  • Photos, videos, boards, and displays
  • Prototype instructions and documentation
  • Pattern making and sewing
  • Ideation support and collaboration
  • Event and presentation preparation, setup, and teardown
  • Supply organization and inventory management
  • Training and education materials
  • Measurements, labeling, tagging, packing, and shipping
  • Storage coordination and lab testing



Required Experience & Skills



  • Extensive hands-on experience in prototype construction, with mastery of standard techniques and the ability to create new methods independently
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead clean room studies
  • Proficiency with basic computer tools: Outlook, OneNote, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to operate, set up, calibrate, and adjust a wide range of equipment, including (but not limited to):

    • Ultrasonic bonders
    • Die cutting, embossing, and heat sealing equipment
    • Scales and sewing machines
    • Cameras, lighting, and printers


  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
