Position Title: Wood Finisher assistant Wage: $18.99/Hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) Unless OT than Fridays as well Dedicated and detail-oriented candidate with hands-on woodworking experience and a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship. Experienced in sanding, surface preparation, and working with wood materials while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Reliable, physically capable, and eager to learn finishing techniques to support high-quality cabinet production in a team-focused manufacturing environment. Wood Finisher assistant Responsibilities: - Sanding and preparing surfaces for finishing - Applying stains, varnishes, and other finishes - Lifting/manipulating materials for coating and storage purposes up to 50lbs individually, and team lifting anything of higher weight - Inspecting finished products for quality and consistency - Assisting with the maintenance and organization of the finishing area - Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment Requirements For Wood Finisher assistant: - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required - Attention to detail and a commitment to quality - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong work ethic and reliability - Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques - Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing - Occasional lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds - Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range - Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles (with PPE provided); outdoor weather conditions QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
