Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist to serve as the primary HR resource for our new Farmers Branch, Texas location. This role is pivotal in building out HR operations and supporting significant growth over the next several years. Acting as a true HR generalist, you will manage a wide range of HR functions while driving process improvements and ensuring an exceptional employee experience. Reporting remotely to our Beaverton, OR team, this position requires a self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment and is passionate about creating scalable HR practices.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Generalist Support

  • Serve as the on-site HR point of contact for all employees, providing guidance on policies and programs.

  • Partner with leadership to implement HR strategies that align with business goals and support workforce growth.

HR Operations Build-Out

  • Establish and refine HR processes for the new location, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Collaborate with leadership to roll out programs and systems locally, adapting them to meet site-specific needs.

Onboarding & New Hire Orientation

  • Act as the primary on-site contact for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation sessions, introducing employees to company culture, policies, and resources.

  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure all onboarding steps are completed accurately and timely, including system setup and benefits enrollment.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Communicate and support health, welfare, and retirement programs; assist with leave programs (FMLA, ADA, state-specific) and workers' compensation.

  • Act as a resource for employees on benefits and leave inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.

HR Systems & Data Integrity

  • Maintain HRIS and related platforms, ensuring data accuracy and supporting system enhancements.

  • Partner with IT and vendors on integrations and troubleshooting.

Compliance & Employee Experience

  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and company policies.

  • Promote a positive workplace culture through proactive communication and engagement initiatives.

ACA Compliance, ADA Compliance, ADP System, ERISA Compliance, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), HR Generalist Experience, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Human Resources Compliance, Workday Software, Worker's Compensation, Working Independently

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work| Required
