Senior Network Specialist - Digital Consulting Worley Consulting. Be part of the solution. We assist with asset strategy and selection, business case preparation, concept and feasibility studies, technology evaluation, energy strategies and asset operational excellence. Purpose: The successful candidate will consult for our clients and guide/lead the network design across all project phases from high level conceptual design to implementation. The role focuses on enabling safe, resilient and scalable solutions to support automation, digitalization, IIoT and autonomous operations. Engineering of critical communication, navigation, and safety systems including but not limited to 2-way radio, satellite communications, WIMAX, ship-to-shore links, GMDSS, meteorological system, lifeboat communication system, gyrocompass system, etc., ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operations in offshore environments. This is a full-time hybrid position based at a Worley office in Canada: Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta; or Sudbury, Ontario; or in the United States: Houston, Texas. Other locations across the US and Canada will be considered. Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Pre-FEED / FEED and Detailed Design: * Develop High-Level and Low-Level Design packages for industrial networks * Define network segmentation strategies in alignment with cybersecurity best practices * Prepare design criteria and network philosophies. * Design private LTE/5G, Wi-Fi and other wireless data networks for industrial applications * Support IioT, edge computing and data acquisition architectures analytics, digital twin and automation systems. * Define bandwidth requirements, redundancy models and availability targets. * Develop network asset inventory and perform cybersecurity assessments. * Develop FEED reports, network equipment specifications, and MTOs. * Produce network topology diagrams, system architectures, IP addressing schemes, VLAN plans and firewall rulesets * Provide input to fiber optic network design, cabinet layouts and termination diagrams * Participate in Risk Assessments. Multi-Discipline Coordination and Procurement Support: * Interface with various project teams internal and external (Automation, Electrical, IT, Operations, Cybersecurity, etc.) to align on network requirements and interfaces. * Prepare technical specifications, datasheets and material requisitions for network equipment. * Prepare FAT and SAT procedures * Participate in FATs, SATs and other type of inspections for network and cybersecurity systems Construction and Commissioning Support: * Support network configuration, validation and system integration testing. * Assist commissioning teams with network readiness, connectivity testing and performance verifiction. * Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, system cutover and transition to operations Cybersecurity and Network Resilience: * Design and implement industrial cybersecurity controls align with IEC 62443, NIST, and industry best practices * Define firewall architectures, access control policies, remote access solutions and monitoring requirements. * Support risk assessments, and cybersecurity design reviews. * Support secure integration of OT systems with enterprise IT environments and cloud platforms. Leadership and Client Engagement: * Leverages and helps develop the diverse background and skills of people for the attainment of company goals. * Plans and executes projects through teamwork with other departments and with outside organizations. * Identifies gaps and builds an environment which has readily accessible knowledge and continuous learning. * Support talent development and contribute to building discipline capability within the organization. * Participate in communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives. * Support proposals and bids by preparing technical writeups, execution strategies, engineering estimates and risk assessments. * Identify opportunities for technology optimization, standardization and cost improvements. * Contribute to client presentations and demonstrations What you will bring Technical and Industry Experience:
