Sr Business Systems Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Remote for a contract position with our client located in Minneapolis, MN 55402. This role is 100% remote.

Compensation: $75.00 - 83.00

Summary:

The purpose of this role is to act as the liaison between the Business and IT organizations, documenting Business requirements that meet user needs and improve business performance by providing the technical analysis of business requirements (including translation into functional requirements), problem solving and troubleshooting as part of a larger project team. This BSA role is to support Separately Managed Account work.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the liaison between business and IT organizations, documenting business requirements.
• Understand business processes and the interdependencies of various systems in use.
• Facilitate interactive discussions with the business unit and technology teams to achieve alignment on defining requirements.
• Gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Manage the change control and traceability processes for requirements.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment of requirements with system capabilities.
• Analyze complex system and system-related problems for the business unit and make recommendations for improvements or new designs.
• Create and implement test plans (schedule, approach, cases, scripts, and conditions), including production check out.
• Ensure all quality standards and techniques are followed, including compiling and publishing artifacts and deliverables.
• Update/create user and technical documentation, procedures, and manuals.
• Identify and communicate risks, issues, and potential solution strategies along with providing status updates.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Business Systems Analyst/Business Analyst experience.
• Experience working in advisory or wealth management environments is required.
• Strong business analysis capabilities, including requirements gathering and documentation.
• Experience with matrixed cross-functional teams and agile delivery environments.
• Demonstrated interpersonal (written and oral) communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Testing experience is required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an ambiguous work environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with requirement and process tools (e.g., Visio, Confluence, Jira, etc.).
• BA and/or BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Desired skills:

• Managed Account experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with managed account platforms and model delivery processes.
