| Essential Job Duties |
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a dual technical and administrative capacity. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services, providing high-quality patient care, and maintaining seamless communication between our medical team and clients. The ideal candidate is a compassionate professional who excels at multitasking in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Key Responsibilities Technical & Clinical Support
Clinical Assistance: Provide comprehensive technical support, assisting veterinarians and technicians with daily operations and patient flow. Patient Care: Assist with patient handling, restraint, physical examinations, and the administration of prescribed treatments and specialized rehabilitation therapies. Monitoring & Diagnostics: Perform patient monitoring (including those under sedation or anesthesia) and obtain/process diagnostic samples such as blood and urine. Safety Standards: Maintain strict compliance with all Hospital Infectious Disease protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Patient & Client Management
Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, communicating pet care updates with professionalism and compassion. Coordination: Manage patient intake, oversee therapy session scheduling, and coordinate with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless transitions of care.
Administrative & Operational Duties
Records & Billing: Maintain accurate medical records, prepare patient consent forms and estimates, manage billing, and audit treatment sheets for accuracy. Inventory & Logistics: Oversee inventory control, order supplies, and manage the shipment and tracking of specialized prosthetic and orthotic devices. Facility Management: Manage the service email, handle equipment maintenance/repair schedules, and coordinate rental equipment as needed.
Collaboration & Education
Team Integration: Foster excellent communication and collaboration with ancillary departments such as Anesthesia and Imaging. Mentorship: Assist in the teaching and hands-on training of veterinary students regarding technical and administrative protocols. Research: Support the medical team in data collection for ongoing clinical research projects.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Completion of an accredited training program in the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Some positions may require additional Training, Certifications, or Licensure.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Veterinary Assistant in the state of NC
- Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) or Certified
- Canine Rehabilitation Assistant (CCRA)
- Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA)
- Certified in other fields of Rehabilitation or physical therapy
