What We Do Work as a dynamic team providing best in class service and support in the commercial real estate space. First American is looking to add a Commercial Title Officer to our growing Specialized Commercial Services team. In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting the team in a variety of ways including coordinating title searches for commercial transactions ranging from single site to high-liability multi-site, be responsible for establishing new commercial escrow accounts and processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering our employees and customers to deliver next-generation solutions and results. What You'll Do: Coordinate and track completion of title searches for commercial transactions depending on the locality and corporate standards. Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges Work cross-functionally with Underwriting to review and approve a variety of documentation including deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions Responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursedin accordance withthe terms of the contract Complete closing byreviewing,recording,and filing documentsincludingpreparing and distributing final closing statements and title, ensuring adherence to delivery dates and timelines. Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale Complywithregulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements What You'll Bring: Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude Proven problem-solving skills with eagerness to learn and share Understands how to navigate internal and external resources to gather information and resolve questions Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers; uses various types of communication to meet customer expectations and build relationships Natural curiosity, enjoys researching the history and background of transactions, analyzing, and evaluating records Thrives in contributing to a team working together to deliver beyond customer expectations Knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologies Flexible with the ability to multi-task and handle all aspects of title support High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of commercial title and escrow related experience What We Offer By choice, we don't simply accept individuality - we embrace it, we support it, and we thrive on it!
