West Virginia Bankers Title is seeking a driven, relationshipfocused Business Development Officer to accelerate growth and expand our presence across a targeted territory including West Virginia and neighboring states. Our ideal candidate must have experience in title insurance or with real estate lending transactions such as mortgage lending, commercial real estate lending or in a commercial real estate legal support capacity. If you excel at building partnerships, generating new business and representing a respected brand in the title and real estate industry, this role puts you at the center of our strategic expansion.

What You'll Do:



  • Lead strategic business development initiatives to grow market share and profitability.
  • Build and strengthen referral networks with lenders, attorneys, realtors, builders, and industry partners.
  • Conduct a minimum of 50 outreach calls per month in identified territories across West Virginia and occasionally in surrounding states.
  • Deliver exceptional client service through proactive communication.
  • Identify new ownership opportunities with senior leadership.
  • Increase internal and external referral penetration.
  • Represent the agency at industry events and join relevant professional organizations.
  • Plan and host training seminars for clients and prospects.
  • Manage agency communications, social media, and marketing materials.


What We're Looking For:



  • Candidates must reside in West Virginia and be based in our main office, with willingness to travel extensively (75% of the time).
  • Proven sales and marketing expertise with a focus on relationship building.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Office 365.
  • Ability to adapt, negotiate, and creatively solve problems.
  • Availability for early-morning and after-hours events.


Qualifications:



  • College degree or equivalent training and/or 5+ years in banking, title insurance, or real estate lending.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and marketing required.
