Position Summary
The Utton Transboundary Resources
Center at the University of New Mexico School of Law seeks a half-time Fiscal
Services Tech to assist with maintaining fiscal controls, processing routine
financial transactions, reconcile and analyze financial data, and assist with
the development of budgets. The Utton
Center is a research and public service project that promotes the wise management
of natural resources in New Mexico and the West, with a particular focus on
water law, policy, and management. This
position reports to the Utton Center Director and serves to ensure that the
budgets and fiscal management of the Utton Center complies with University
policies. Main duties include: reconciling
accounts, labor distributions, budget and salary planning, managing purchase
requisitions and orders, managing payroll, and completing mid-year projections.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualification:

- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experienced in University of New
Mexico systems and administrative processes
- Knowledge of Banner, Chrome River,
LoboMart
- An interest in water management
- Bilingual - Spanish and English
speaking and writing
