Salary Range: $71,000 - $77,250 Depending on experience

Summary

Supervise and direct warehousing activities of workers including receiving, storing, issuing, picking and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment and parts by performing the following duties.

Ensure timely delivery of equipment and parts to site and customers and manage transportation cost with logistics providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Establish operational procedures and policies for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Oversee maintenance, receiving, warehouse and returns to maximize utilization of equipment and direct reports in compliance with operational and delivery schedules, within an approved departmental budget.

Ensure standard operating procedures for all warehouses in the nation including Canada. This includes layout, receiving, storing, shipping equipment and parts. These also covers vendor managed inventory, vehicle inventory, HAL locations, and other storage facilities being managed by the Supply Chain team.

Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, picked and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping stock; and related problems.

Plan layout of warehouse/s and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored.

Develop warehouse operations KPIs and ensure all warehouse operations meet KPIs including but not limited to inventory accuracy, mis shipments, etc.

Initiate and implement IT tools such as use of handheld scanners to increase warehouse efficiency and effectivity. Reduce and minimize all manual out of ERP transactions. Support the development of the IT roadmap.

Standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment.

Institute and enforce all operational safety programs and standards for the main warehouse distribution center.

Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.

Initiate processes and procedures to reduce material and labor costs.

Prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment. Direct salvage of damaged or used material.

Ship out items to be repaired to vendors, follow-up for return to warehouse.

Call to arrange for and load large shipments requiring forklift.

Coordinate and schedule delivery of parts and equipment with logistics providers.

Supervise on site loading of equipment as required.

Receive, confirm, and record shipments received into main warehouse. Enter receipt of product into system utilizing pack list.

Label and transfer items in system between warehouses prior to physical shipment. Complete timely orders on a daily basis.

Travel is expected up to 10% of the time and required in performance of job duties and responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, 5+ years of experience in related field and/or training and 0-3 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, policies and procedures, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully the individual should have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
